In order to provide the most cost-effective, highest quality service, we are not members of any HMOs. We offer a variety of financing and payment options including CareCredit and Mastercard/Visa. Together we will go over the recommended plan, the amount of time required for each appointment and the costs of each phase. If you have complex dental service needs, prior to providing treatment, we provide written dental treatment plans that outline your total costs, possible insurance reimbursements and your co-insurance costs. According to regional fee surveys, your services at DeWan Dental Wellness will cost no more than average for a dental office located in the Midwest. We strive to give you a fair price on our leading-edge dental services. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends! This may mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your next appointment. We’re doing our best to allow greater time between patients as well. To reduce the number of patients in the reception area, you will be asked to arrive promptly at your appointment time and no earlier.We have also repositioned seating in the reception area to promote physical distance between patients. This is to maintain proper infection control. You may notice that our reception area no longer offers coffee, children’s toys, and so forth.This filters the air completely about every 5 minutes. We have also installed air purifiers in the reception area and all treatment rooms.Masks are not required upon entry to our office according to CDC guidelines, but are available to patients and guests who may choose to wear them.We ask that if you are feeling feverish or have flu-like symptoms, or if you have been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 that you reschedule your appointment out of the safety of our patients and staff.You may see some of the following changes when it’s time for you next visit: Protocols have been made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. Thornton has also been accepted as an IAFA master! Being happy is a choice and so is being well. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, The Georgia Dental Association, The Hinman Dental Society, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and frequents her local Spear Study Club. Dentistry is a great way to reach individuals on a level of discovery. She chose dentistry as her career path to help others be more proactive about prevention and wellness in their own lives and to have a hands-on artistic influence on peoples' smiles and functional harmony. Neely has always been passionate about learning and applying new principles to her life. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 2006, graduating top 10% of her class. Thornton ventured out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to enjoy an outdoor adventure for a year, while working as a dental assistant and reinforcing her desire to pursue dentistry. She attended Darlington School and continued on to Vanderbilt University where she graduated Cum Laude from the School of Engineering. Neely Thornton is a Georgia native born and raised in Rome, GA.
